Dexter Charles has worked in a variety of industries included but not limited to his proven experience as Operations Manager for a manufacturing company, IT Manager for a large university, Engineering Manager for a business machine sales and services company and C.E.O. of his own business machine sales and service company for 9 years.
During his 25 years of management experience Mr. Charles developed a reputation as an action-oriented and results driven executive with the determination and drive to get things done. He is adept at quickly zooming in on the right business solution from among viable alternatives applying leading edge project management and problem solving methodologies.
During his tenure as IT Manager at Regent University in Alexandria, Virginia, Mr. Charles managed all aspects of the full life cycle implementation of a $4M project to upgrade enterprise-wide wireless IT network infrastructure from project initiation, planning to execution, using project scheduling and work breakdown structure (WBS) to plan and deploy the project, on time and on budget.
At Convergys in Lake Mary, Florida and Verizon in Tampa, Florida, Mr. Charles applied his technical expertise in network engineering and project management expertise to administer LAN and WAN networks, manage network data storage environments, and maintain network availability of servers, workstations, printers and other network devices.
He has a Masters of Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Business in Tampa and a Bachelors of Science from DeVry University in Arlington, Virginia in Network Management all achieved with honors. He is an active member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).
